About Gregor von Rezzori

Gregor von Rezzori was born in the Bukovina in 1914, which at the time was an outpost of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and is now a region divided between Ukraine and Romania. In 1969 The New Yorker published his story, "Memoirs of an Anti-Semite," which subsequently appeared as a section of a novel of the same name in 1979. His other books include The Death of My Brother Abel and The Snows of Yesteryear. He died in 1998 in Italy.
